Common questions
Why does my RCD trip when it rains?
Water getting into outdoor sockets, light fittings, junction boxes or damaged cable is a common cause. Avoid using outdoor circuits until they have been tested, and do not keep resetting the RCD.
What does pool electrical work need to be safe?
Equipment rated for wet locations, RCD protection, correct earthing and bonding of metal parts, and lighting at the right voltage for its zone around the pool. These are checked and tested as part of the installation.
