How do I know if my villa needs rewiring?
Warning signs include no RCD protection, an old fuse board, frequent tripping, scorch marks, warm sockets and circuits without an earth. Only an inspection and testing can confirm the condition, so start with an assessment.
Can a house be partly rewired?
Often, yes. If testing shows that some circuits are sound, the work can focus on the circuits that are not, or follow a renovation room by room. The whole installation still has to be safe and documented at the end.
